What do I need to place an order?
We require a number of things to be prepared before we start working on your order. You need to provide us with:
- Door model and type
- Door size, please refer to the pre-hanging information page to know how to correctly measure a door size
- Type of hardware you choose
- Door function (ex. Hinge swing door; bi-pass sliding doors, bi-fold doors, etc.)
- A valid form of payment
How can I measure my door size?
Doors can be measured by taking the following steps
1) Measure the width of the door in 3 locations – top, middle and bottom and take the biggest measurement. This is the door width.
2) Measure the height of the door in 2 location – by the handle and by the hinge side. Take the biggest measurements. This is the door height
What is a rough opening?
It is the opening in the wall where the pre hung door is to be installed. Rough opening should be 2 – 2.5″ wider and 1.25″ higher than the door slab to leave room for jambs and constructing foam.
What is door schedule?
A door schedule is your complete door order, which comprises of the following details related to your door requirements:
- Door number (model etc.)
- Door location (Kitchen etc.)
- Door Size [or Rough Opening] dimensions/measurements
- Door Function (Hinge swing door, bi-pass sliding doors, bi-fold doors, etc.)
- Door swing (inward, outward, pocket etc.)
- Door Type (Glass, Solid)
- Lock function
Are these doors made of solid wood?
That completely depends on the type of model you choose and other order details. Please have a look at our category table to know exactly what your door is constructed from. Our Natural Wood Veneer and Taeda collections are made from solid wood.
Can I put a different handle on your doors?
Of course you can! Just let us know beforehand because our pre-hung doors are mortised before they are sent to you. We can change the drill dimensions according to your door handle. If you need us to make 1 ¾’ backset let us know when you are placing your order.
What is better, Plain Bearing Hinges or SOSS hidden hinges?
It is all about your taste. If you are old school and are used to of your old ways and like it then Plain Bearing Hinges are for you. On the other hand if you don’t want to see hinges at the door, you can always have SOSS hinges that complement modern looking interior doors.
Do you stock 8′ doors?
We do have some classic models in Wenge finish in stock. But we can put it on special order and you will get your doors within 7 to 8 weeks.
How many hinges are used for an 8′ door?
Not more than four SOSS or four Plain Bearing hinges
Can I order some specific model in different finish?
You sure can! We call it a special order and it takes more than usual time to be manufactured and delivered. Usually between 7 to 8 weeks.
Are you getting new doors?
We are always in search of a modern look and modern model. There is always room for improvement and there are unique door designs to that can be tailor fitted to satisfy your creative senses. What is covered by three year warranty on the doors?
The warranty covers all manufactures’ defects plus free service for three years. The warranty and the policies can be found on the policy and terms page of this site.
What is a jamb extension?
Jamb extension is an additional pre finished wood plank, added to the door jamb to cover additional wall thickness (for example in older houses with thicker walls).
Can I use my own door jambs and casings?
Absolutely! You can buy door slabs and/or handles separately or use your old ones, just let us know the dimensions beforehand so we can work on your order accordingly.
Is the glass used on your doors safe?
Yes, most of glass inlays are made of tempered glass and are baby as well as elderly safe. Triplex model is the only one, where glass is not tempered, but it complies with European safety standards.
Can I use your doors as pocket doors?
Yes, we’ve set some of the non-pocket configurations into the pocket ones with little modifications in the design. You can type “pocket” in search bar at the top to have a look at them. In case of any special configurations, please call our representative for further guidance.
How long will it take for the doors to get to us?
This will be determined by on the shipping address. Usually it takes 4 to 5 weeks for standard orders, and 7-8 weeks for custom express orders by air, and 9-10 weeks by sea.
How do you deliver the doors?
The doors are delivered by an outsourced courier company who provides installation services. When shipment is created you will receive an email with the tracking information. So make sure that there will be 2-3 people on the site who will get the package to you. If you wish, for an additional fee installation may be provided for you.
